Those needing a ride on base please meet at the Pass & ID parking lot to be driven on base.

Everyone please bring your own lunch and any snacks for the day. Please bring a refillable water bottle.  I will have water jugs to refill them. I will also have beer, ginger beer and rum onboard.

First start 0905 (our start is at 0950) @ Vicinity of Halfway Rock.

JYC Spring Series Tuesday night weekly. The warning signal for the first class is approximately 1800.

There are extra people onboard for the early season to provide training opportunities. Normally no more than 8 on the boat.

Pursuit race to BI – non spinnaker. Be at dock 8am to load up.

Bill will have beverages and snacks + stuff for breakfast (yogurt, granola, hard boiled eggs, coffee).

TBD – bring dinner for one night (something like Lasagna in foil pan or Bertollis bags we can heat in stove)

Bill brings fender board, long dock lines, shore power cable, cocktail table and boom tent.

Friday

• 6:00pm Skippers Meeting – Get official start times and sailing instructions

Saturday

• 9:00am Start – Newport. The first boat will start at 9:00am, and the rest will follow based on handicap.
• noon – sandwiches on boat
• 6:00pm Finish – New Harbor, Block Island – If you can’t finish by 6:00pm give up, turn on your engine and come in for beer.
• 6:30pm Dinner – One night on boat, another night in town.

Sunday

• Breakfast stuff available on boat

• 10:00am Bloody Mary Contest  – Back by popular demand. Bring your own concoction. What you do with the mixes after the judges taste them is up to you.

• 12:00pm Hors d’oeuvres – On the dock. Be ready to present your best hors d’oeuvres for judging in taste and presentation. Partaking requires participation!

• 1:00pm Awards – On the dock.

• 6:30pm Dinner – One night on boat, another night in town.

Monday

• Breakfast stuff available on boat

• Lunch – Sandwiches on boat

• Leave as you so desire or continue to enjoy the island. Be sure to check with your dock mates in case any of them want to leave early.

Boat will be at the Boathouse Restaurant Saturday morning. I will email to confirm location on Friday night. Be at boat 0830 sharp Saturday morning for a 10:30am start off Hog Island. Party at Tiverton YC after race, then an  evening sail back to Navy Base.  Let me know in the crew comment who will join for the return sail.

I’ll have beer & water on the boat – everyone please pack your own lunch and bring a refillable water bottle.
