Around Aquidneck Island Challenge (Spinnaker) @ Navy Marina Slip A49

Mike Marrone please meet Bill Fitzgerald at Newport Nautical parking lot to drive on base.  Meet at boat 10:30am.

The Twenty Hundred Club Around Aquidneck Island Challenge is run annually whenever we want, as many times as we want.  This is based on PHRF corrected time and allows a spinnaker and non-spinnaker run.

Boats may start by any of the designated marks and need to finish there.  The challenge excludes time through the Tiverton basin. A log is kept to record the time when certain marks of the course are passed.

We set the non-spinnaker record on Sunday. This run will be with spinnaker. We will start and finish at the Newport bridge and use one design sails with a PHRF rating of 75.  Expected elapsed time is about 5 hours.

Bill will get a 6″ Italian sub with all the fixings for each person.  If you want something different, please email me what you want.  Bring a water bottle – there is a container on the boat to fill water bottles.  There are plenty of chips and munchies on the boat.
