Mary please meet Ryan & Andrew at Newport Nautical 4:45pm to drive on base
Please be at the dock on time to stow gear and a training session on the new instruments at 5:00pm so we can be out on the water at 5:30pm (Eric arrives at 5:30pm). Everyone wear PFDs since the water is cold.
–Bill will review new instruments including start line setup procedure (ping line), race timer and selecting desired displays. The new safety features for Man Overboard buttons will also be covered. This is a link to the presentation J/109 Vento Solare Crew Training for B&G Instruments
–Head out ~ 5:30pm
–Practice upwind settings, tacks, calling wind and shifts, crew communications, jib trim and inhaul settings
–Spinnaker sets, jybes, downwind settings, crew communications
–Dust off the cob webs and instruct new crew on Vento Solare race routine and instruments
