Pursuit race to BI – non spinnaker.
Friday
- 6:00pm Skippers Meeting – Get official start times and sailing instructions
Saturday
- 9:00am Start – Newport. The first boat will start at 9:00am, and the rest will follow based on handicap.
- 6:00pm Finish – New Harbor, Block Island – If you can't finish by 6:00pm give up, turn on your engine and come in for beer.
Sunday
- 10:00am Bloody Mary Contest – Back by popular demand. Bring your own concoction. What you do with the mixes after the judges taste them is up to you.
- 12:00pm Hors d'oeuvres & Costume Contest – On the dock. Be ready to present your best hors d'oeuvres for judging in taste and presentation. Partaking requires participation! Wear your best costume for a contest with a kid-(and adult) friendly prize.
- 1:00pm Awards – On the dock.
Monday
- Leave as you so desire or continue to enjoy the island. Be sure to check with your dock
mates in case any of them want to leave early.

Vento Solare Spinnaker Video
Thanks to Lisa, Kathy, Sue & Gerry Vento Solare was wet sanded in no time at all with perfect wet weather to help. Here are a few pictures from Sue's phone. Thanks for your help!
A fun evening sharing a table with Eric, Mary, Chris, Maggie, Francis, Lisa, Bill & Cindy. Mary was recognized with a US Sailing award as a JYC member for her communications role on J/122 Alliance in the Bermuda Race. Maggie accepted the J/122 Leading Edge third place fall series award for Tom and Diana. The picture below shows Bill & Cindy with the 1st place spring series award for J/109 Vento Solare.
In the end it turned out that the Ida Lewis YC awarded the youth trophy to Vento Solare. Pictures from the award ceremony and the trophies are below.
