Twenty Hundred Club Race from BI to Newport. Start by R2 New Harbor entrance – Spinnaker A Warning 1045, Start 1050 .

2022: Tides – Currents: Hug BI shore after start, current changes ebb to flood 1415 by 1Bi, flood currents up bay until slack 1735

(Slip Reservations made at BI Boat Basin DOCKWA XRRCL9DYK check out Mon 8 Aug)

Remember to bring your reusable water bottle – I will have gallon water containers for refills.

Monday:

Breakfast – Bill will have the percolator on the boat. Eat breakfast at the Narragansett
Lunch – Monica please bring something like Wraps with cold cuts we can put in the reefer and snacks for the trip back for three of us. Cheryl & David bringing own lunch.

In addition I’ll have trail mix, granola bars, some fruit, chips, and crackers for munching.

9:00am Start - Newport. The first boat will start at 9:00am, and the rest will follow based on handicap.
6:00pm Finish – New Harbor, Block Island - If you can't finish by 6:00pm give up, turn on your engine and come in for beer.

Sunday

10:00am Bloody Mary Contest - Back by popular demand. Bring your own concoction. What you do with the mixes after the judges taste them is up to you.
12:00pm Hors d'oeuvres & Costume Contest - On the dock. Be ready to present your best hors d'oeuvres for judging in taste and presentation. Partaking requires participation! Wear your best costume for a contest with a kid-(and adult) friendly prize.
1:00pm Awards - On the dock.

Monday

Leave as you so desire or continue to enjoy the island. Be sure to check with your dock
mates in case any of them want to leave early.

Thank you for a great time. That hour penelty seems steep. If you look at yellow brick there were a few other boats in our class that were just inside that south east dot. Not sure how picky they were being.

Bill went to the protest hearing about our sailing in the exclusion zone to fix the spinnaker. The results of the protest was the RC added 1 hour to our corrected time. This put us in 2nd place for the youth entries. We would have had 1st in youth if not for this. Hope to see you all at the awards ceremony!
