• J/109 Vento Solare is in good shape for 2025!
• Set availability for 2025 Events at this link  (Log in and click the Crew Member View button on the calendar to enable setting availability). Hard commitments are needed for BIRW! Some have already set availability.  Please review your inputs and make any corrections required.
• Update Personal Profile for OD events, World Sailing ID  & Classification, and clothing size on the J/109 Vento Solare website – mouse over Crew and click on Edit my Profile. I plan on buying crew gear this winter for those who participate in events.
• New for 2025! We plan to add youth sailors to the crew.  Eddie Doherty has agreed to help coach so we help fill the pipeline with new sailors.

The Details:

J/109 Vento Solare is resting well on the hard at Borden Light Marina for the winter.  The bottom was painted and hull waxed in the fall before the cover went on.  There are a few minor projects remaining to be done, but nothing schedule critical.  A wet sanding party is scheduled on the boat calendar, weather permitting in the spring after the cover is removed so we can splash and start sailing again. There are also a few work days scheduled and I hope to launch mid April, weather permitting.

This message is being sent with the 2025 schedule.  I would like you to please look at the J/109 Vento Solare 2025 schedule and set your availability for events.  Please indicate yes, no or maybe so I don't need to follow up after the fact.  This is easiest done logging in to the J/109 Vento Solare site, from the Crew menu select Availability.

Tip for 2025: The links in this email are filtered by groups shown below.  This pre-filters the list making it easier to view and set availability for events in the various groups all at once. You may also use the category & tag dropdowns to filter the schedule as desired.

Use the links to open the pages.  Each event has a text field next to the Availability dropdown where you may submit a comment for that event. Please set your availability (yes, no or maybe).  Once inputs are received, I'll determine which events are definite, make crew assignments and blast an email to a wider audience to fill gaps. I may adjust the schedule if there is insufficient crew for certain events.

Many of the events are the same as past years. There are a few other potential date conflicts but I'll update these as we get closer.
