Everyone please bring your own lunch and any snacks for the day. Please bring a refillable water bottle.  I will have water jugs to refill them. I will also have beer, ginger beer and rum onboard.

Current flooding @ start and building to max ~ 1230.  Slack ~ 1530 (north bay turns before south bay)

First Start @ 1030 by G"3" Southeast of Rose Island (Our Warning 1035, Start 1040) - expect the short course
Current:
 ~ 1 kt Adverse current out bay at start
- Current near slack @ noon when rounding R2 at Brenton Reef
- Adverse current building to ~ 1kt @1500 at finish Cuttyhunk
Wind:
Projection Thursday is very light 3-4 kts from 320 at start, clocking as sea breeze develops ~10 kts from 230

Race out on Saturday and party, then return on Sunday.

Party at Cuttyhunk on the dock after race to go over results.  We are staying on a mooring and will share a ride on a dinghy to shore.  There are bathrooms on the dock.  Return Sunday.

Racing with OD sails and Code 0.

Bill has the cooking utensils, disposable plates & plasticware, water jugs to fill water bottles, coffee & percolator. Also bringing V-Berth cushions, boom tent and cockpit table.

Meal Plan - Each Crew to volunteer for a meal

  • TBD - Sat Lunch - sandwiches, fruit, chips or equivalent
  • TBD - Sat Dinner - salad, hot dish in foil pan for oven (e.g. pasta & meat, mac & cheese, etc.), rolls & wine
  • Sun Breakfast - Eat at the Fisherman's Club on top of Cuttyhunk
  • TBD - Sun Lunch - sandwiches, fruit, chips or equivalent
  • Bill - Snacks - fruit, nuts, sweet stuff, etc.

We will be on a mooring - bring a bathing suit. Stern shower will be available. Bring sleeping bag, & towel.

We will depart Cuttyhunk Sunday mid morning after breakfast and cleanup.

Twenty Hundred Club Race to BI.  Race out Saturday and party at Champlins after race.  Beach day Sunday,  race back Monday. We'll start by Rose Island  - Spinnaker A Warning 1045, Start 1050 .

2023: Tides – Currents: Flooding in bay at start. Hug Jamestown shore after start, current changes ebb to flood 1235 by 1Bi, hug BI shore after current shifts by 1Bi

(Slip Reservations made at BI Boat Basin DOCKWA 644UE6JD7 check out Mon) Hail VHF 9 for slip

Remember to bring your reusable water bottle - I will have gallon water containers for refills.

Saturday:

  • Lunch - Kathy please bring sandwiches for the race out for 7 people. 
  • All purchase meal tickets for  the party and Twenty Hundred Club Food at Champlins. 

Sunday:

  • Breakfast - Bill will have the percolator on the boat.  Eat breakfast at the Narragansett
  • Lunch/Munchies - Kathy please bring lunch and snacks to take to the beach.
  • Dinner - We'll eat somewhere in town

Monday:

  • Breakfast - Bill will have the percolator on the boat.  Eat breakfast at the Narragansett
  • Lunch - Kathy please bring something like Wraps with cold cuts we can put in the reefer and snacks for the trip back for the crew.

In addition Cindy & Bill have trail mix, granola bars, some fruit, chips, and crackers for munching. Cindy will bring some hors dourve stuff and Bill bringing beverages.

All are invited after the race to the Salute to Summer on the Navy base.  There is live music, food trucks and fireworks.  I'll be there with my family.

We'll start by Rose Island at anchor 0900 - Strategy Spreadsheet 0700 Sat

Tide Link - 2023 Current slight ebb out of bay at start, slack 1000, then flood with max just ~ 1330.  Current flood into bay through the finish.
