The 2022 J/109 North American Championship will be held at Pequot Yacht Club as a stand alone event

Crew accommodations VRBO – 631 Hollydale Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824 which is 5.5 miles from Pequot Yacht Club, 669 Harbor Rd, Southport, CT 06890

Let’s Party!

Each afternoon after racing, sailors are welcome to our Post Race Social. In addition to some free munchies, we’ll be joined by a handful of sponsors. Participants will have a chance to sample local gin products from TUCK Gin on Wednesday evening, taste seasonal and regular favorites from Two Broads Brewing Company on Thursday, and enjoy a variety of Regatta Craft Mixers throughout the week. 

October 11-15, 2022

    • Tuesday, October 11th: Inspections, weigh-in, practice race (Vento Solare hull cleaning Tuesday by Justin Greenhaw)

      • 0900-1800: Check-in, Crew weigh-in (Vento Solare measurement at 0850)

      • 0930-1400: Boat Measurement/Inspections

      • 1500-1630: Optional organized practice starts. Boats are free to practice at any time on their own.

      • 1745: Cocktail Party & Skipper’s Meeting at Pequot Yacht Club

    • Wednesday October 12th: Race Day 1

      • 0800-0930: Check-in, Initial crew weigh-in

      • 1100: Warning Signal

      • 1745: Opening Cocktail Party at Pequot Yacht Club – Participants will have a chance to sample local gin products from TUCK Gin on Wednesday evening

      • Crew Dinner After Social – with Leading Edge at Tom & Diana’s suite, Delamar Hotel 275 Old Post Rd, Southport, CT

    • Thursday-Saturday, October 13-15: Racing Days 2-4

      • 0800-0930: Substitute crew weigh-in

      • 1100: Warning Signal

    • Friday, October 14: Championship dinner for sailors and guests in the tent. There will be music by Louder Daddy, a five-piece cover band, a few complimentary refreshments, a full bar, and a buffet-style dinner. The dress is smart and gentlemen are encouraged to wear jackets.  

    • Saturday, October 15:

      • 1430: No Warning Signal after this time

      • Awards Ceremony at Pequot YC
