The Twenty Hundred Club Around Aquidneck Island Challenge is run annually whenever we want, as many times as we want.  This is based on PHRF corrected time and allows a spinnaker and non-spinnaker run. We will start and finish at the Newport bridge and use one design sails with a PHRF rating of 75 Spinnaker, 94 Non-Spinnaker. We will select the class based on crew available. Bring your own lunch & beverages and please bring masks.

Boats may start by any of the designated marks and need to finish there.  The challenge excludes time through the Tiverton basin. A log is kept to record the time when certain marks of the course are passed.

We will start & stop at Newport Bridge.

We are on the Blue circle in ORC3 class (Pennant 3) using OD jib and 120 sqm spinnaker.  The warning signal for the first race is 1100 each day. The traditional Two-Day Series on Saturday and Sunday. We are on a three boat team with Spirit (PHRF Spin) & Epiphany (PHRF Non-spin) for the Great Corinthian Trophy.

Racing may consist of the following:

•  Drop mark races on Rhode Island Sound or Narragansett Bay
• Navigator style races using marks designated on the South Bay Race Chart or in the sailing instructions

The Around-the-Island Race or middle distance race (scored separately) on Friday.  The warning signal for the race is 1100. We are on a two boat team with Leading Edge for the Rolex Cup on Friday.

The Details!
The Twenty Hundred Club Fall Race Around Prudence Island (counterclockwise) starts and finishes by Pine Hill Point - which is about 8 nm from our slip. We'll depart as soon as everyone is on the boat. I will have the boat rigged and ready to go.  We will discuss crew positions on the way there and once in the race area will do some practice. The warning signal is at 1000 for other classes with our warning at 1015, start 1020.
