Around Aquidneck Island Challenge (Non-Spinnaker) @ Navy Marina Slip A49

The Twenty Hundred Club Around Aquidneck Island Challenge is run annually whenever we want, as many times as we want.  This is based on PHRF corrected time and allows a spinnaker and non-spinnaker run. We will start and finish at the Newport bridge and use one design sails with a PHRF rating of 75 Spinnaker, 94 Non-Spinnaker

Boats may start by any of the designated marks and need to finish there.  The challenge excludes time through the Tiverton basin. A log is kept to record the time when certain marks of the course are passed.

Expected elapsed time is about 5 hours.

    We have crew to support the Around Aquidneck Challenge on Weds.  I will pick up Tom & Diana at 8:30 am at Johnny’s Getty on West Main Rd in Middletown.  Marcus will text me when he gets to the dentist and when he is done.  Either myself or Pat will meet Marcus at Newport Nautical to drive him on base.

    I will get Subway sandwiches for all and have some beverages on the boat.  Bring a water bottle that can be filled on the boat. If anyone needs to call me my cell is 401.225.2271
