Vento Solare Launched – March 2021!

A first in the record books for Vento Solare.  We splashed on 30 March 2021 – the first time ever we’ve made a March launch date.  Unfortunately the early launch date doesn’t provide immediate sailing gratification.  There is still plenty of storm damage work to be done. March Comes in like a Lion with some damage

Borden Light Marina called me at 10:30 on March 2nd to let me know that Vento Solare had rolled off the stands during the ongoing wind storm we’re having. Spring 2020 Boat Preps with Health Precautions

Vento Solare 2020 preparations are progressing well through the coronavirus pandemic.  Bill was safe with a Tyvec suit and full face respirator sanding and painting the bottom.  On Friday 20 March, the work team of Erin & Gardner Howe with Mike & Cheryl Marrone practiced safe distancing as everyone maintained 10 foot separation to wax the hull. …
