Vento Solare Sets Around Aquidneck Island Challenge Record
Vento Solare sailed the Twenty Hundred Club Around Aquidneck Island Challenge on Sunday 21 October and set a new record for non-spinnaker at 4 hours 37 minutes 35 seconds (corrected to 3 hours 47 minutes 27 seconds for PHRF 94). Previously we set the record in 2017 with a corrected time of 4 hours 20 minutes 26 seconds. …

A Preview of Things to Come
I’ve been wrestling with failures on some of the original Nexus instruments this year. First the wind sensor and electronic compass, then one of the Multi-control displays on the sprayhood. Rather than continue to bandaid fixes on obsolete parts, I’ve decided it is time to make the jump and upgrade the instruments to a full B&G system. …

Vento Solare turning Green!
Vento Solare Crew,
I am following the lead from Brooke who sent a note to the URSA crew. She has transitioned to an environmentally friendly policy associated with beverages on the boat. This is a great idea and we will do the same on Vento Solare.
