Those needing a ride on base please meet 8:45 am at the Pass & ID parking lot to be driven on base. If you arrive a few minutes early call Bill so I can meet you to on the causeway to drive on base

Buy tickets for the BBQ – Bill has tickets for all

Logistics Information

Staying on a mooring – will hail launch when we need a ride ashore
Bring a towel & sleeping bag or blanket if staying on the boat
Sue bringing lunches Saturday for all on the boat
We'll eat dinners & breakfast ashore (some yogurt & granola will be on the boat)
We'll have some snacks and appetizer stuff
Bill will have the blender and appropriate ingredients
Cooler will be on the boat for beverages – seltzer & beer
Beach day Sunday – party with other crews

A great race out to Block Island that worked as a training event for Lukas & Kevin. Great results with a 2nd in Spinnaker A class. Thanks to Sue for helping with the training, both to BI and the return trip Sunday (a day early due to pending high winds & rain).

Preposition cars and do a trip up the bay - Coordinating with Pat Tormey on Blue Skies. Meet at Borden Light Marina 9:15am and one car drives to the Navy Base. Put in comments where you want to leave your car BLM at 9:15 or Base at 9:55.

Once at Borden Light prep engine and head for winter. Leave potable water until on the hard. Libations at Tipsy Toboggan afterwards.

6:00pm Skippers Meeting - Get official start times and sailing instructions

Saturday

9:00am Start - Newport. The first boat will start at 9:00am, and the rest will follow based on handicap.
noon - sandwiches on boat
6:00pm Finish – New Harbor, Block Island - If you can't finish by 6:00pm give up, turn on your engine and come in for beer.
6:30pm Dinner - We will eat in town.

Sunday

Breakfast stuff available on boat
10:00am Brocktail Contest - Brunch cocktails, broadened beyond the Bloody Mary. Bring your own concoction.
12:00pm Hors d'oeuvres and Costume Contest - On the dock. Be ready to present your best hors d'oeuvres for judging in taste and presentation. Partaking requires participation! Wear your best costume for a contest with a kid-friendly prize
1:00pm Awards - On the dock.
Depart for Navy Marina immediately after awards

Buster meet Sue @ 0745 by Pass & ID lot to ride in with them. Bill will meet you on the causeway so you may drive on base.

Those staying on the boat bring towel and blanket or sleeping bag. We'll be on the dock with the dodger, shore power and the heater. There are shower facilities and bathrooms on the dock. Accommodations for the weekend:

I'll have Friday lunch available for all on the boat. Plan on the rest of the meals while on the dock in town. I'll have sandwiches for the trip back Monday. There will be some libations available on the boat.
